Energy Tax Credit

Energy Tax Credit Available for up to $1,500!

On February 17, 2009, President Obama signed The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, which changed the energy efficiency tax credits. These tax credit changes were designed to encourage homeowners to make energy efficient improvements on their homes. As of January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2010, you can replace the old windows on your home with Alpha Windows and qualify for a tax credit up to $1,500 on your 2009 or 2010 federal income tax return. Tax credits are available at 30% of the cost of the windows, up to $1,500.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 requires that the windows have a U-Factor equal to or below .30 and a Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) equal to or below .30.

How to Qualify:
1) Purchase and replace old windows with vinyl Alpha Windows beginning January 1, 2009 through December 31, 2010.
2) Save your sales receipt along with all NFRC/Energy Star labels installed with the windows.
3) Claim the tax credit associated with your home improvements on your Federal Tax filing for the respective year.
